Sarah Levy is a writer and the author of the essay collection Drinking Games. She was born in New York City and received her undergraduate degree from Brown University.
Drinking Games (St. Martin’s Press), explores the role alcohol has in our formative years and what it means to opt out of a culture enmeshed in drinking. It was named one of the best nonfiction books of the year by Glamour, featured on “Good Morning America,” and was an Amazon Editors’ Pick. The book is now available in paperback and as an audiobook, narrated by the author.
Her work has appeared in the New York Times, The Cut, Vogue, and TIME Magazine, among other publications. She was a recent contributor to The Book of Alchemy (Random House) alongside essays by Lena Dunham, Salman Rushdie, Gloria Steinem, Jia Tolentino, George Saunders, and many others.
Sarah writes Seltzer Rocks, a newsletter about navigating motherhood and life through a sober lens. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and son and is working on her first novel.
